notes:
-Well I had to go and fill my own request Kinebee! Just recently unearthed this absolute gem of a show. I've been looking for Lee shows for awhile, mostly
to no avail and recently struck gold on this one: check out the band - 'nuff said!
-quality is great, but warning: this is the late 60's stereo-type recording where the instruments are seperated completely: just 2 or 3 in each channel.
-the show is absolutely killer and is only the 1st set. The 2 unnamed tunes sound familiar - let us know if you can figure them out.
-if you have any live Lee Morgan, please seed it!!!!! (besides Both and Club, SF 6/70 or the Lighthouse releases)
-didn't see this listed on any current or dead DIME torrents, so this may be virgin here.

BBC Jazz on 3
22 Feb 2010 23:15–01:00

Presenter: Jez Nelson
Studio guest: John Russell
Producer: Joby Waldman & Peggy Sutton

"Jez Nelson presents a gig from New York electric guitarist Mary Halvorson.
Playing original compositions that feature angular grooves and dissonant melodies,
the trio obtains excitingly edgy and dynamic improvisations. Joining Mary on stage
are bassist John Hebert and Ches Smith on drums.
Mary has been active on the New York jazz scene since 2002. She plays regularly with
the infamous avant-garde reedsman and composer Anthony Braxton and released her debut
recording as leader in 2008. The album was proclaimed 'an auspicious debut' by
Downbeat and "full of tension, excitement and awkward pleasure, and very much of its
moment." by The New York Times."

Kinga Glyk Jazzfestival mit Seeluft und Klangfreude Vom 19. bis 21. August Zoologischer Garten, Klostergarten, Kunsthalle Rostock (Jazz Rock) mp2>flac

"See More Jazz" lautete Mitte August das Motto in Rostock.

lunedì 19 giugno 2017 20.30 Locandina IL CARTELLONE BOLOGNA JAZZ FESTIVAL Paolo Fresu, Uri Caine & Quartetto Alborada

tromba, flicorno, elettronica Paolo Fresu
pianoforte e piano elettrico Uri Caine
Quartetto Alborada
violino Anton Berovski
violino Sonia Peana
viola Nico Ciricugno
violoncello Piero Alvatori

Registrato l’11 novembre 2016 a Bologna, Teatro Auditorium Manzoni

Sonny Rollins & Coleman Hawkins Newport Jazz Festival Newport, RI 07-06-63 FM>FLAC

OK, IÕve got one more for now.  This is from an uncirculated master reel of Sonny Rollins and Coleman Hawkins at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1963. Sonny and the band are swinging and the announcer says that there is an award thatÕs going to be presented but there isnÕt any more talking about it and they just start playing.  IÕm not aware of any other concert with Coleman Hawkins but I could be wrong. Another piece of history that I know a few of you will enjoy.  I could use some help with the song titles as I am not familiar with the names as much.  I know that you guys will be able to provide it and I will update the info and covers.  It would be nice to see a few share some of your deep Sonny Rollins archives.  I Like and the 50-60Õs Rollins....hint hint.

Enjoy!

Total Time: 39:00 min.

one of the many high quality AACM performers... an album by Max Roach played by Dawkins and his cohorts, only broadcast the first part of the show, a continuos suite that I divided in a few fragments, playing seamless.. Also included in the folder, marked as part00, a radio introduction in ITALIAN with bio notes and commentaries - this intro runs for 5'48", you can skip downloading it if you don't understand italian.

no tracklist available, six parts, check FFP for sequence
