notes:
-Well I had to go and fill my own request Kinebee! Just recently unearthed this absolute gem of a show. I've been looking for Lee shows for awhile, mostly
to no avail and recently struck gold on this one: check out the band - 'nuff said!
-quality is great, but warning: this is the late 60's stereo-type recording where the instruments are seperated completely: just 2 or 3 in each channel.
-the show is absolutely killer and is only the 1st set. The 2 unnamed tunes sound familiar - let us know if you can figure them out.
-if you have any live Lee Morgan, please seed it!!!!! (besides Both and Club, SF 6/70 or the Lighthouse releases)
-didn't see this listed on any current or dead DIME torrents, so this may be virgin here.

Gianluca Petrella - The Cosmic Band recorded at "YOUNG JAZZ IS BACK IN TOWN festival", Auditorium - Parco della Musica, Roma (Italy) on sunday 17 January 2010. fm>flac

Gianluca Petrella, trombone, conduction, electronics.
Beppe Scardino, baritone sax.
Francesco Bigoni, tenor sax.
Mirko Rubegni, trumpet.
Gabrio Baldacci, guitar.
Giovanni Guidi, pianoforte.
Alfonso Santimone, synths, keyboards, laptop, electronics.
Francesco Ponticelli, bass.
Federico Scettri, drums.
Simone Padovani, percussion.

this is the headling set of a double bill also including Giovanni Guidi's Unknown Rebel Band (later to be torrented too). Unfortunately the radio broadcast only the main part of it. Already featured here on dime a few time, this is an IMMENSE collective in the vein of Sun Ra, ShibusaShirazu, Ground Zero, Burnt Sugar... They have just issued an album called "Coming Tomorrow part 1" for Petrella's own label Spacebone Records. Also included in the folder, marked as track 00, a brief radio introduction in ITALIAN with commentaries - this intro runs for 3'53", you can skip downloading it if you don't understand italian.

no tracklist, five unannounced tracks, check FFP for sequence
